BenjiLock is the world’s first traditional rechargeable padlock with fingerprint technology.

BenjiLock is ideal to use at the gym, work, school, college, home or your storage unit.

Your BenjiLock can store up to 10 multiple users.

No. You do not need a computer or a smartphone to setup your device.

No. You do not need a Wi-Fi connection to setup your BenjiLock.

Your BenjiLock includes a universal Micro USB cable. Plug your lock into a power source and once it’s fully charged, the red LED will turn off. Please note, your BenjiLock will charge quicker using a power outlet than when connected to a laptop or other power source.

 Very easy! Follow these simple steps and you’ll be ready to go!

  1. Wake up your BenjiLock by touching the front fingerprint sensor.
  2. Insert the key and turn counterclockwise.
  3. Touch the screen again, then press the button on the bottom once (2-Step Verification).
  4. Place your preferred finger on the screen 5x (holding until the blue LED turns off) to store your fingerprint. This will be the master user.
  5. The LED on top will flash blue letting you know your fingerprint was stored.

Take the key out and you’re ready to go!

Programming note: If you see a red LED when storing your fingerprint, repeat step 4 until you get 5 total successful blue lights and it then flashes rapidly.

  1. Wake up your BenjiLock by touching the front fingerprint sensor with a finger that is not programmed.
  2. Insert the key and turn counterclockwise.
  3. Touch the screen with your original stored fingerprint (the master user).
  4. Press the button on the bottom two or more times to assign the new fingerprint to a user. For example, press the button two times for user #2.
  5. Place the new finger on the sensor 5x (holding until the blue LED turns off) to store the new fingerprint.
  6. The LED on top will flash blue letting you know the fingerprint was stored.

Take the key out and now you have added a user to your BenjiLock!

Very easy! Follow these simple steps and you’ll be ready to go!

  1. Wake up your BenjiLock by touching the front fingerprint sensor with a finger that is not programmed.
  2. Insert the key and turn counterclockwise.
  3. Touch the screen with your original stored fingerprint (the master user).
  4. Press and hold the button on the bottom for at least 10 seconds. When the LED on top turns red, release the button.
  5. Press the button the number of times assigned to the fingerprint you want to remove. For example, press the button two times to delete user #2.
  6. The LED on top will flash red 4x to confirm. Once flash stops, this user’s fingerprint is now erased.

Take the key out and now you have deleted a user from your BenjiLock!

  1. Wake up your BenjiLock by touching the front fingerprint sensor with a finger that is not programmed.
  2. Insert the key and turn counterclockwise.
  3. Touch the screen with your original stored fingerprint (the master user).
  4. Press and hold the button on the bottom for at least 10 seconds. When the LED on top turns red, release the button.
  5. Press and hold the button on the bottom again until the LED on top starts flashing red.
  6. Once the LED glows a solid red, remove the key to complete the process.

Your BenjiLock is now reset and all users have been erased!

Based on the amount of usage per day, your BenjiLock can last 6 months to a year on a single charge.

Your BenjiLock includes a fully built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery and comes partially charged. However, on an empty level, it could take a maximum of 3 hours for a battery to fully recharge.

No. BenjiLock does not operate through Bluetooth and does not require a mobile application or an app for functionality.

Yes, your BenjiLock operational temperature is -4° to 149° F (-20° to 65° C).

Yes, your BenjiLock features an IP65 enclosure rating for dust-proof, moisture and splash water, under IEC standard 60529, however, this current version is not waterproof.

Yes, your BenjiLock will stop charging once it’s fully completed. The battery cannot be overcharged and it will not suffer any harm from regular charging, including overnight.

Your BenjiLock is pick resistant and utilizes spool pins for increased security.

No. This current version of the BenjiLock is not TSA approved.

Fingerprints are not stored, but a one-way hash value is. That value is compared to the attempt and if they match, then it is authenticated.  Since the biometric data in your BenjiLock is one way hashed, people cannot create the fingerprint from the hash value.

This current version of BenjiLock is pick resistant and utilizes spool pins for increased security and defense against key bumping.

No. BenjiLock requires the key to add or delete a fingerprint, including the two-step verification access from the “master user”.

No. Your BenjiLock cannot export data through a Micro USB cable.

Yes! You may have additional keys made for your BenjiLock. Use key blank VR7. This key can be cut using a standard key machine found at your local hardware store, home centers or your favorite locksmith. However, please note that not every store will have the appropriate key blank available.
